Happy Hearts Day! I hope you are all feeling the love! XO
I spent my first “married” Valentine’s Day weekend being surrounded with love by my husband. I am about to brag on him for a little bit… I hope it won’t make you too nauseous 😉
He started off the morning by running to the store for groceries to make a delicious breakfast of eggs and hash brown waffles. As we sat down to eat, we heard a knock on the front door. 2 dozen red roses were hand delivered, along with some chocolate covered strawberries. What a sweet surprise!
We spent the majority of our morning and afternoon snuggled up while the snow fell outside. Eventually it was time for me to get ready for our dinner reservation at a local french restaurant, Bertrand’s Bistro.
I found this lovely Monique Lhuillier blush lace dress available for rent at Rent The Runway for the occasion. I love that it has a longer sleeve and is made of a heavier fabric. It is perfect for February night out.
I have become quite the fan of winter whites, and I am a repeat offender of styling these white pumps with almost anything this season.
The neckline of the dress was very flattering and delicate. I added some sparkle with my J. Crew crystal drop earrings. J. Crew Factory has a similar style available. This dress could also be accessorized nicely with some classic pearls if you prefer.
The major bonus to this dress… POCKETS! I swoon over any dress that has pockets!
Since it was in the negatives last evening {no joke!} I had to bundle up to go out on the town. This beautiful pink overcoat complimented the blush tones in my dress perfectly. And how adorable are these text-friendly gloves with lady-like bow detail?!
And my most recent love affair is with this two-toned red wine and rose pink Kate Spade Hayden winged satchel. It is currently ON SALE at Nordstrom!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
