PROM TAKEOVER

Welcome back, Bloggers! Its me, Allie!
For those of you who don’t know I am a full-time hair stylist licensed out of Pennsylvania. Although the town I live in is a bit smaller than others, my imagination for this industry continues to grow each and every day.

One of the best parts about being a hair stylist is meeting the most outgoing and bubbly people. Over the years I have been able to watch some girls just blossom, and our personalities just click instantly.

If you knew me, oh say 5 years ago, you would know that this time of year is by far one of my absolute favorites! The sun is beginning to shine more, the grass is getting a bit greener, and most of all PROM SEASON HAS ARRIVED.

Most would say I was a prom whore back in the day, (only because I went to at least 6 proms in highschool!) Sorry mom + dad…. But it was the most perfect excuse to get dressed up, and be pampered all day long.

Being 22, I have easily enjoyed my younger high school clients on prom days when they come in with a vision and I am able to bring the picture to life! For me, hair is art. Hair isn’t just about slabbing some color on my clients head, or throwing a few curls in with noticeable bobby-pins to make it look presentable. It’s all about the vision. I enjoy every session I have with my girls, and make the money + time worth their while.

So today, I am showing off some of my favorite updo clients from this past weekend.

Everyone meet my sweet friend Helen. I have known this beauty since she was about 14 years old. Yesterday was her final dance + senior prom. It was absolutely a bittersweet moment for me, and I was holding back some big tears. I mean look at her + her handsome date Thomas. They make an awesome couple, don’t they!?

And then we have Jessica! Jessica has been coming to me for about 2 years now, and I just love having her in my chair. Helen introduced us, and I am forever grateful for that. These girls are what makes this world so bright, and so magical.
