We got an extra hour of sleep over here on the East Coast and yet it still didn’t feel like enough. I’m ready for a lazy Sunday spent inside.

It’s definitely a top knot, leggings and flannel kind of day. I will have to run some errands later so I threw on my herringbone vest for an extra layer. I love subtle pattern mixing with my layers.

By mixing a big bold pattern like the Buffalo check and a smaller detailed pattern like the herringbone they still look coordinated. Also be sure to choose a basic color like black throughout to stay consistent.

J. Crew Factory – I bought this vest a couple years ago and always bring it out year after year. It’s one of my favorite staples.

Madewell — this style is just a plain buffalo check style tunic. My top actually has a darling little embroidered detail on the shoulders.
