I have been so wanderlust lately. With work really being a huge part of my life, I’m constantly reflecting on time for myself. I think I enjoy time away because it makes me really appreciate the time I also have behind the chair.
Vacation keeps me sane and I know I’m not the only one who thinks that. My brain needs a break from reality from time to time. So I’ve set aside some mini vacations to keep my spirit alive and bubbly.
My first vacation of 2018: Ft. Myers, FL
One rewarding part about my job is meeting people who become family. I ventured off to Florida this past weekend to spend some time with Simone; who once was a client and now a huge part of my life who I have the pleasure of calling a friend.
It was the perfect girls weekend and when I tell you it was the most chilled-out weekend, I mean we for real had cold drinks at the beach all weekend long.
I met some new friends who I gained to love being around, who also enjoyed listing to my life story. I grew to love this place the more I was there.
One thing I love about Simone is that she’s super adventurous. Her job requires her to be confident and comfortable with her surroundings and I envy the hell out of her because it makes me do things I wouldn’t normally do on my own.
Our time together was so short but we lived every minute the fullest in the time we had. We planned my next trip in April to venture off with the friends we made along the way.
