Cold Weather Cape Coat |

I consider myself a professional in making the best out of cold weather in Northwest PA. And that goes for cute clothes and fun activities!

Today I’m hosting a “Friendsgiving” at our new home and I think it’s the perfect transition into this cheery holiday season! Instead of a traditional Thanksgiving meal I’m embracing my roots and going all out Italian! Pastas, sauces, stuffed breadsticks, canoli dip… the works! As my grandma would say, “Mangia, Mangia!” (“Eat, Eat!”)

Nothing beats staying cozy inside and eating comfort food in the winter, but if I do need to brave the elements I like to do it in style. I was drawn to a different style of coat this year when I was browsing in the fall and I’m so glad I came across this coat/cape combo. It’s so much more fashion forward than a regular peacoat or parka.

This cape coat is the perfect outerwear for lots of winter outfits. It goes great with moto jeans and fun shoes but would also look amazing over a simple dress with tights and high boots!

It’s even available at an amazing price. Sometimes finding outerwear without spending a pretty penny can be difficult but this coat is high quality at a low price!

I love the knit, the fact that the coat is a cape while also having its own sleeves for functionality and also to keep me warm, and the tie waist is so flattering.

Cape Coat: laundry by Shelly Segal. Fits true to size with extra room in the sleeves to go over sweaters. I ordered mine from Nordstrom Rack awhile ago for less than $70 and since then it’s sold out there but is available to purchase from Amazon.

Moto Jeans: Levi’s. Fit true to size with some extra stretch and an elastic waistband! No uncomfortable button or zipper after filling your belly during the holidays! Also come in 4 different washes. Available from Kohl’s for $23.99.
