Blame it on the Juice

Good morning Sunday Readers! Can we take a second and talk about how it’s already June and summer is just about here.

I’m thrilled for warmer weather and prepping my body any way I can to feel a little bit better for the months to come.

My best friend Emmy and I decided to give a 24-hour juice cleanse a try. To be honest, it was incredible. I wont lie and say it wasn’t hard, because you better believe towards the end I was ready for a big fat cheeseburger, but I got through it and I’m so happy I did it.

Instead of ordering a pre juice detox, we went ahead and made everything fresh from the blender. A trip to Aldis and an afternoon cutting and prepping. It was one of the warmest days in Erie but we enjoyed sitting on Emmy’s porch and preparing our “meal” for Monday!

So I figured today’s blog post can be a breakdown of what each of the juices were and how I rated them! I’m seriously so thankful I had a buddy doing this with me. We kept each other sane, collective and supportive to keep chugging.

I began my Cleanse at 8:00PM Sunday Evening!

Juice 1- APPLE CIDER VINEGAR 🍋

Start time: 8:00AM.

INGREDIENTS: Apple Cider Vinegar • Lemon • Ginger • Kian Black Pepper.

Emmy created this one. She said out of them all this one would be the toughest for me. She was not wrong 😂 Started with a struggle but ended on top, so I’ll take it!

Juice 2 – KIWI PINEAPPLE 🍍 🥝

START TIME: 10:00AM

INGREDIENTS: Kiwi • Pineapple • Water • Coconut Water.

10/10. Loved this one. I didn’t want this juice to end. It was so refreshing and the mixture was insane!

Juice 3 – CELERY CUCUMBER 🥒

Start Time: 1:00PM

INGREDIENTS: Celery • Cucumber • Mango • Lime • Coconut Juice

Not bad!! If you’re not a huge Celery person, I suggested alternating with a different vegetable. It overpowered the rest of the flavors but it still went down pretty darn smoothly!

Juice 4 – CUCUMBER GINGER 🥒

Start Time: 3:00PM

INGREDIENTS: Cucumber • Ginger • Sugar • Lime

This was the part of my cleanse where I was starting to get antsy. I didn’t know if I’d be able to make it 8PM without some sort of crunchy substance but I made it this far, I couldn’t stop here.

Juice 5 – ORANGE STRAWBERRY 🍊 🍓

Start Time: 5:00PM

THE FINAL COUNTDOWN ☺️

INGREDIENTS: Orange • Strawberry • Spinach • Coconut Water • Pomegranate Juice

20/10. By far my absolutely favorite one. I learned from this whole detox that I’m a lover for fruits! Any type of juice that fruit is involved count me in! It was the best way to end.

BACHELOR MONDAY SNACKS 🌹

I didn’t want to overdo it since I just completed the detox. Carrots 🥕 Strawberries 🍓 AirPopcorn. 🍿 I missed crunch that’s for sure!
