Toile de Jouy

Wishing the sunniest Sunday to you!
Love,
Ange & Bump

A little fashion history lesson coming at ya!

Toile de Jouy, (French for: “fabric of Jouy”), also called Jouy Print, is traditionally cotton or linen printed with designs of landscapes and figures for which the 18th-century factory of Jouy-en-Josas, near Versailles, was famous.

Like all things vintage, this pattern has made its way back into trendy modern fabrics, clothing, linens, home decor, and more! Maybe it’s my old soul, but I personally love it. To me it brings back old charm and a touch of class.

Powder room goals!
Such a lovely tablescape.
These charming curtains remind me of my dress!
I love this more modern toile pattern mixed with several other subtle prints. So preppy!

I found this red toile print dress online at Macy’s on sale. It is not a maternity dress so I did size up to give bump some extra room! It’s so flowy and flattering and perfect in the August heat. No slip is required, this dress is lined and then has the chiffon printed over layer so it’s not sheer or see through.
