I have been gravitating towards dresses (specifically blue ones!) this summer, that’s no secret or surprise if I’m being honest. It’s so easy to throw on a single piece garment and be ready to go, almost effortlessly. This season of my life I don’t have a lot of time to get ready, but something about wearing a dress makes me feel very easily put together. And I love and appreciate all dresses from casual to classic, frilly to fancy!

This recent purchase of mine is a sweet little eyelet dress. This is one of those dresses that can be worn time and time again.

The key to finding a good eyelet piece is making sure it is fully lined. As pretty of a pattern eyelet can be, those lacy little holes can be tricky. A full lining or slip can make an eyelet dress go from beach cover up to dinner appropriate.

I think that the flutter sleeves and flounce hem on this dress are simply adorable. And the a-line is still flattering and a good shape.
